2023-04-11pimd: Option to get IGMP groups and sources for a particular interfacePooja Jagadeesh Doijode
1. Added interface name, group address and detail option to existing "show ip igmp groups" so that user can retrieve all the groups or a particular group for an interface. Detail option shows the source information for the group. With that, the show command looks like: "show ip igmp [vrf NAME$vrf_name] groups [INTERFACE$ifname [GROUP$grp_str]] [detail$detail] [json$json]" 2. Changed pim_cmd_lookup_vrf() to return empty JSON if VRF is not present 3. Changed "detail" option to print non pretty JSON 4. Added interface name and group address to existing "show ip igmp sources" so that user can retrieve all the sources for all the groups or, all the sorces for a particular group for an interface. With that, the show command looks like: "show ip igmp [vrf NAME$vrf_name] sourcess [INTERFACE$ifname [GROUP$grp_str]] [json$json]" Signed-off-by: Pooja Jagadeesh Doijode <pdoijode@nvidia.com>

2019-11-13pimd : Add support for MLAG Register & Un-registerSatheesh Kumar K
when ever a FRR Client wants to send any data to another node using MLAG Channel, uses below mechanisam. 1. sends a MLAG Registration to zebra with interested messages that it is intended to receive from peer. 2. In response to this request, Zebra opens communication channel with MLAG. and also in Rx. diretion zebra forwards only those messages which client shown interest during registration 3. when client is no-longer interested in communicating with MLAG, client posts De-register to Zebra 4. if this is the last client which is interested for MLAG Communication, zebra closes the channel. why PIM Needs MLAG Communication ================================ 1. In general on LAN Networks elecetd DR will send the Join towards Multicast RP in case of a LHR and Register in case of FHR. 2. But in case DR Goes down, traffic will be re-converged only after the New DR is elected, but this can take time based on Hold Timer to detect the DR down. 3. this can be optimised by using MLAG Mecganisam. 4. and also Traffic can be forwarded more efficiently by knowing the cost towards RP using MLAG Signed-off-by: Satheesh Kumar K <sathk@cumulusnetworks.com>

2017-05-15*: make consistent & update GPLv2 file headersDavid Lamparter
The FSF's address changed, and we had a mixture of comment styles for the GPL file header. (The style with * at the beginning won out with 580 to 141 in existing files.) Note: I've intentionally left intact other "variations" of the copyright header, e.g. whether it says "Zebra", "Quagga", "FRR", or nothing. 2016-12-21pim-msdp: part-4: cli cleanupanuradhak
1. Add support for mesh-group based configuration that is easy to apply via automation. The older per-peer configuartion is temporarily hidden and will be cleaned up later. Sample config - ip msdp mesh-group cumulus source 100.1.1.4 ip msdp mesh-group cumulus member 100.1.1.5 ip msdp mesh-group cumulus member 100.1.1.6 2. Added support for detail peer and sa-cache displays. Along with filter keys. 3. Add json output for all the msdp displays. With this commit basic support for anycast-RP with MSDP (in numbered network is complete). Unnumbered support will be added separately. 2016-12-21pim-msdp: part-1 - initial protocol infra.anuradhak
This commit includes the following changes - 1. Support for MSDP peer DB (hash and sorted list). 2. Support for the following timers - keepalive, connect-retry, hold. 3. TCP session management (lower-ip is active, higher-ip is passive). 4. MSDP KA packet rx/tx. 5. Limited temporary config (will be replaced with the more automation friendly RP-set). Testing done - Peer bringup/deletion (including interop with another vendor) Sample out - root@dell-s6000-04:~# sudo vtysh -c "show ip msdp peer" Peer Local Mesh-group State Uptime 100.1.1.1 100.1.2.1 default established 00:07:27 100.1.3.1 100.1.2.1 default established 00:31:50 root@dell-s6000-04:~# Coming soon - 1. part-2: SA cache management. 2. part-3: SPT setup using source in SA cache. 3. part-4: CLI cleanup. 2016-05-25pimd: add support for configuring multicast static routesJafar Al-Gharaibeh
Hi, This patch adds the ability to configure multicast static routes directly into pimd. Two source files are introduced to implement the new feature in addition to changes to existing files. Here is how it can be used the CLI: interface <incoming interface> ip mroute <outgoing interface> <group addr> # for asm or ip mroute <outgoing interface> <group addr> <source> # for ssm Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns, Regards, Jafar Acked-by: Donald Sharp <sharpd@cumulusnetworks.com>
2016-05-25pimd: merge pimd as of 2015-01-19David Lamparter
Welcome pimd to the Quagga daemon zoo! This is a merge of commit 77ae369 ("pimd: Log ifindex found for an interface when zebra lib reports a new connected address."), with the intermediate "reconnect" changes removed (c9adf00...d274381). d274381 is replaced with b162ab7, which includes some changes. In addition, 4 reconnect-related changes and 1 cosmetic one have been bumped out. The rebase command used to produce the branch that is merged here is: git rebase --onto b162ab7 c9adf00 77ae369 Note that 3 patches had their author rewritten from "Anonymous SR#108542 <>" (which is not a valid git author ID) to: "Savannah SR#108542 <nbahr@atcorp.com>" (which is the e-mail address listed in the associated Savannah ticket) Signed-off-by: David Lamparter <equinox@opensourcerouting.org>
